Greetings from London, where the weather may be cool but the samba is hot hot hot! Last night we joined the London School of Samba for a carnival parade through Covent Garden and then a blistering performance on stage at the Guanabara club. This weekend, NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL!! Bring it on!

It was great to see so many people having an absolutely great time while working on their moves or having a bash on the drums.
There will be more of this for sure, stay tuned!
Greetings to all sambistas from Rio De Janeiro! We're here doing a bit of important "research" into samba and caipirinha in the season of carnival.
As such, we're taking a short break from regular Bateria 61 practice, but we'll be back at again from Saturday the 15th of March. See you all then!
Just got back from a fantastic day at Coogee beach. Sun, sand, surf, and nothing better to cap it off but SAMBA! What a perfect day for a great gig parading up and down the foreshore with the brilliant girls from Batucada Brazil. Thanks girls!
